Use Special Characters in Naming

One of the very cool, though tiny, things about Keyboard Maestro is that names of groups and macros can contain Unicode characters. You can start names with special characters as a way to group and order them. Rectangles, circles, and arrows of various kinds are particularly useful. Select special characters from the Mac's Character Viewer or the much more capable utility PopChar. For example, All my application-specific macro groups have names beginning with □ and a space, all my text-manipulating groups with ▬, all my switching and activation groups with ➟, Of course you can also use regular Mac keyboard symbols, such as • and §, but the Unicode characters offer far greater and more aesthetically pleasing choices.
