The Type Modifiers action allows you to type the Control, Option, Shift and Command keys.

Select the modifiers to type from the panel of icons on the action.

Use the gear icon at right of the action to select the specific typing action:

• Press and Release
• Press and Hold
• Release

Notes:

• Keys that are pressed stay pressed only as long as the macro continues to run.
• If a Insert Text by Typing Action follows a Press and Hold of a modifier key, the text is typed without the modifier key. For more information, see this Forum post.
